we would be happy to receive it.
The current programs of DITC Environmental Education Foundation, Inc., are called Locally Endangered Species Awareness and School Zone.
The first step of researching and writing the fifty subjects of threatened or endangered species within a 150-mile radius of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife’s National Conservation Training Center in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, is finished.
All of these subjects are designed and available for viewing. We would now like to invite the participation of 8-12 year-old students in a creative program set around the 50 species on the list, and we are in the process of identifying schools from West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland, Washington, D.C. and Pennsylvania who would like to take part in the program.
We are shortly going to launch our new School Zone. This exciting program will invite children from around the world, who are visiting our website, to research and write a subject of their own choice, having familiarized themselves with the format and content of the subjects on the website. Their work will be exhibited in this new area. |
